Wednesday 19 November 2025 KS3 Girls Football Tournament Latham Park played host to an exciting day of football as KS3 girls from across North Powys competed in the annual Small-Sided Football Tournament. With teams from Years 7, 8, and 9 taking part, the competition was fierce, and the performances were nothing short of inspiring.

Tuesday 18 November 2025 U16 Netball November 2025 Our Year 10 and 11 Girls competed in the U16 North Powys Netball Tournament last week which proved to be a excellent showcase of skill, determination, and teamwork, in a series of competitive fixtures.

Thursday 6 November 2025 Welsh Cup Under 13 Girls On Wednesday 5th November, our Under 13 girls made the trip to Welshpool in the 2nd round of the Welsh Cup. The game was incredibly competitive, seeing the game end in a 4-4 draw, with Welshpool advancing on penalties.

Thursday 23 October 2025 U14 Boys Welsh Cup vs Bro Hyddgen On Wednesday 22nd October our u14 boys football team welcomed Bro Hyddgen for their 2nd round Welsh Cup match. Goals from Alvaro x3, Alfie x3, Henry x2, Tom PL and Tommy P earned a 10-3 win to book their place in the Powys final vs Welshpool, to be played after half term.

Thursday 23 October 2025 U18 Netball Tournament On Tuesday 21st October our Year 10 & 11 Netball team went to Ysgol Bro Caereinion and competed in the U18 North Powys Netball Tournament. Playing up an age group, they were prepared and ready for some good quality netball and some physically tough games. They fought very hard in all 4 matches scoring in every game played, although final scores were against us.

Wednesday 22 October 2025 Welsh Cup U16 vs Maesydderwen On Monday 20th October our u16 boys team welcomed Maesydderwen, the most southernly-based Powys school, who made the long trip up from Ystradgynlais, for the second of their Welsh Cup matches.

Friday 17 October 2025 Year 7 Welsh Cup Football & Show Racism the Red Card Our Year 7 boys football team played their first game on Thursday 16th October, where they made the trip over to Llanfair to play Bro Caereinion. They came away with an impressive 5-1 win after a confident performance from the 18 player squad, from which every player played their part in an excellent team effort.Goals from Rocco x3, Noah V and George W after excellent team passing and build up play helped seal the win, with all pupils contributing positively and showing fantastic effort, commitment and conduct! Wednesday 15 October 2025 U16 Welsh Cup Football vs Penweddig Our u16 boys football team travelled to Aberystwyth on the 14th of October for their 1st round match vs Penweddig, where they came away with a hard-working & solid 1-1 draw.

Friday 10 October 2025 Welsh Cup U15 Girls On Thursday 9th October, our Under 15 girls made the trip to Llanfyllin in the first round of the Welsh Cup. The game was very competitive, physical, and hard-fought. Congratulations goes to Llanfyllin for their 3-1 win.

Friday 26 September 2025 Welsh Cup Football u14 5 vs 1 Llanidloes Our u14 boys football team made a winning start to their Welsh Cup campaign, with an impressive display against visitors Llanidloes in an entertaining match played in the best spirit by both teams.

Monday 14 July 2025 Dance World Cup - World Finals A massive well done to Jessie Roberts who competed in the Dance World Cup - World Finals in Burgos, Spain, last weekend. She did amazingly well to come 19th in the Junior Solo Jazz section. Amazing work Jessie, we are really proud of you!

Wednesday 25 June 2025 NASUWT Powys Athletics Cup A fantastic day yesterday as we hosted the annual NASUWT Powys Schools Athletics Cup & Plate, which saw 10 secondary schools from across the county compete at Maldwyn Athletics Track in a bumper day of schools athletics.

Thursday 12 June 2025 Year 7/8/9 Sports Leaders at the Primary Schools Cricket Festivals A massive well done to our Sports Leaders from Years 7/8/9, who did a fantastic job leading and officiating at the local Primary Schools Cricket Festivals at Newtown Cricket Club over the last two weeks. Friday 23 May 2025 Powys Schools Athletics & UK Sportshall Success On Thursday 22nd May pupils from Years 7-10 travelled down to Brecon for the Powys Schools Championships. Tooo many excellent performances to mention, full of confidence, determination and commitment, cheered on by their fellow pupils in a real team effort. Thursday 10 April 2025 Sport Relief Danceathon with Gemma On Tuesday 8th April as part of Sport Relief Week we had Gemma from Footloose come in to put our pupils through their paces on the dancefloor, delivering a fantastic dance session which our pupils absolutely loved! A big thank you Gemma for coming in and giving our pupils an amazing experience and opportunity, they had a great time!

Thursday 3 April 2025 Powys Schools U12 & U13 Boys Rugby Our U12 & U13 Boys rugby teams travelled to Llanidloes on Thursday 3rd April in glorious sunshine to take part in the Powys Schools Rugby Festivals. Both teams put in a fantastic effort, with lots of our pupils playing competitive rugby for the first time, growing in confidence and improving the more they played throughout the day.

Thursday 3 April 2025 Under-15 Girls Powys Rugby Festival Today, our Under-15 Girls rugby team took part in a Powys Schools rugby festival at Cobra RFC. The girls gave a great account of themselves in the sunshine and significantly improved as the day went on, both in terms of performance and results.
