Welsh Cup Football u14 5 vs 1 Llanidloes

Our u14 boys football team made a winning start to their Welsh Cup campaign, with an impressive display against visitors Llanidloes in an entertaining match played in the best spirit by both teams.

Playing down the slope in the 1st half, Newtown opened the scoring with early goals from centre-forward Tom PL and impressive right wing Alvaro. Logan cemented their lead just before half time with a fine 30 yard free kick effort.

The 2nd half began with Llanidloes applying early pressure and their impressive forward curling in a shot from just outside the box to make it 3-1, however Newtown soon responded with 2 quick-fire finishes from left wing Tommy P to seal the win 5-1 and send them into the next round, to face Bro Hyddgen at home.
