North Powys KS3 Football Tournament Success

A cracking day of football at Latham Park for last Thursday’s (6th November) North Powys KS3 Boys Football Tournament.

Our Year 7 squad played some really good football and should be proud of their efforts throughout the day, finishing 3rd overall after 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss.

Our Year 8 team beat Bro Hyddgen, Llanfyllin, Llanidloes, John Beddoes and Llanfair on their way to a showdown with also unbeaten Welshpool in their final game, knowing that a draw or a win would be enough to be crowned champions thanks to their better goal difference of +11, in the end a 0-0 draw was enough to seal the deal. A fantastic effort from all of the squad throughout the day!

Our year 9 team, pictured with Nick Evans from new kit sponsors Evabuild, put in a very good effort with 1 win, 4 draws and 1 loss earning them 3rd position overall.

Da iawn pawb, great effort everyone and a massive well done to our Year 8 team on becoming North Powys Champions!! Also a big thank you to Newtown Football Club for hosting and organising a fantastic day of football!
