Last week (17th-23rd May) was Mental Health Awareness Week. The theme this year is kindness. Obviously it is important to be kind to others but it is just as important to be kind to ourselves. Think of the oxygen mask on a plane principle - it we are ok, we can make sure everyone else is.

Over on our Parents at Newtown High School Facebook page we covered the following areas.
Coping strategies
It’s ok not to be ok
Being kind to ourselves whilst working from home
Five ways to wellbeing
Labelling our emotions
The importance of sleep
Happiness

Below is a letter to our year 11 students from Mr Andrew, on what would be their last day. We wish you all the best in your future studies and careers, and look forward to seeing those of you that choose to come back to sixth form with us.

Letter to year 11 - last day 2020
