Following our earlier message regarding Powys County Council’s decision not to operate school transport tomorrow—which affects a large number of our students—and in light of the continued adverse weather conditions forecast, we have made the decision to close both campuses of Newtown High School on Friday.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience for families, and we hope that by informing you as early as possible, you are able to make any necessary arrangements.

Teachers will provide online learning for all students through the Teams platform.

At this time, we expect school to reopen as normal on Monday. We will update you should anything change.
