Upcoming roadworks on Dolfor Road January 2026

We have received the following information from Powys CC regarding roads near the school:

"We’d like to let you know about an upcoming highway improvement scheme in Newtown.

Following the recent upgrades on Heol Treowen, the next phase of work is currently scheduled to begin after the Christmas period/early 2026, and is expected to take around ten weeks to complete.

The improvements will extend from just south of Trefnant Villas (near the railway bridge) along Dolfor Road, continuing into Plantation Lane and ending near the entrance to Ysgol Dafydd Llwyd. Additional work will also take place around the Heol Treowen/Dolfor Road junction, including an improved crossing point between the Heol Treowen junction and Plantation Lane.
