Powys Schools Athletics Championships 2024

Before the half term break we took 46 pupils down to Brecon for the annual Powys Schools Track & Field Athletics Championships, the biggest event in the sporting calendar with 13 schools attending and approximately 500 pupils competing.

Our pupils were a credit to themselves and the school, showing excellent levels of effort, performance and behaviour which resulted in them becoming Powys Champions with Newtown High School finishing in 1st place out of the 13 schools taking part!
