Newtown High School Celebrates Removal from Estyn Review

John Beddoes and Newtown Campuses are delighted to announce the exciting news that the school has been officially removed from Estyn Review. The Estyn team have recognised the further hard work that has been put in place since their visit in October 2023 towards the recommendations. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our ongoing journey of improvement and excellence.


Mrs S Craddock-Bennett, Acting Headteacher, expressed her gratitude: "I would like to sincerely thank our dedicated staff, hardworking students, supportive parents and carers, the governing body, and the wider local community for the unwavering support they have provided throughout this process. This success is a true reflection of what we can achieve when we work together."


Mrs N Havard, Acting Headteacher, was also thrilled with the achievement: "I am delighted to share the fantastic news that our school has officially been removed from the Estyn Review category. This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our entire school community—staff, pupils, parents, and governors—who have worked tirelessly to drive improvement and ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning."


Mr R Harper, Chair of Governors, was delighted at the news, stating: "We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together. This milestone demonstrates our shared commitment to providing the very best education and opportunities for our learners."
